After spending nearly, a decade working in staffing, workforce development, and marketing for multi-million-dollar brands, Kimberly founded the Career Center of the Southeast LLC, a career service event company that produces career fairs, empowerment conferences, and hiring events for multiple employers.

In 2019, Kimberly founded Develop Coworking, a professional collaboration environment. Kimberly is a Co-Founder of the Greensboro Black Chamber of Commerce; Founder of RE-EMERGE, a service that provides employment opportunities for former offenders; Vice President of Print of the Charlotte Chapter of Black Journalists (CAABJ), an affiliate chapter of the National Association of Black Journalist; and President of the Kaitlyn Carter Scholarship Foundation.
